Searches all points in the drawing for stringable raw descriptions from the field survey. This includes any character point description ending with at least one digit, or any set of at least 4 digits. e.g. TK1, FNC25, 4081, 6032, 60301, 506345
It sorts the stringable points into point number order.
It compares the Point's raw description with the listed string codes in the Profiles.csv file and if found uses parameters (layers and optional templates) from the file for drawing the string.
In addition all 3D polylines created are added to the Current Surface. If only one surface exists then it is considered the current surface, otherwise you will be prompted to select the surface.
Creates a Stringline and a Breakline (settings for which are based on the first point selected) through the points individually selected. This is a last resort command as you want to get all your points with the correct codes on them as to join the Strings from the points. This will make it hard on you if you go to export out of one drawing and into another as the manual joining wont come across. Strings will only string to what the point code says.
Join Strings by replacing codes of 2nd string with codes of 1st string. It joins 2 separate strings into 1 String. This function is good for when you have multiple days with different string numbers on the same string and you want to join that string with the other string and keep it as one string all the way through the job.Normally i would check out which direction the surveyor has picked the job up (by seeing which way the point numbers go) and select the lower string number first or the string number you want ot keep.(Pick the point first of the string you want ot keep and then Point second of the string you want to change)
